Head of Revenue
Parabol is used by thousands of organizations to transform meetings into collaborative workflows that can be completed on teammates’ own time, saving organizations time and driving better outcomes. Parabol runs in the cloud or can be hosted on clients’ own infrastructure and is popular in heavily regulated and security-conscious industries such as defense, finance, and healthcare. Recently, Parabol has enhanced its offering with a knowledge-management solution similar to Data Center Confluence. Atlassian announced they are ending sales and support for this product, creating a nearly $300M opportunity.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of Parabol’s full revenue function, working directly with the CEO and reporting to our board. You’ll architect the strategy and hiring of Parabol’s customer success, inbound and outbound sales functions working as a player-coach in order to define playbooks and scale.
Your Mission:
- Owning the full revenue lifecycle: new customer acquisition, onboarding, success, renewals, and expansion across both private and public-sector accounts
- Designing, testing, and revising sales playbooks for inbound and new outbound motions
- Selling as a player-coach, directly managing strategic accounts and closing deals while preparing to scale a team
- Setting revenue targets, quotas, and compensation plans for yourself and eventually a growing sales team
- Building outbound motions to complement our strong inbound funnel, including outreach into enterprise accounts and public-sector opportunities
- Driving retention and expansion by building motions that educate and engage budget holders as well as end-users
- Collaborating with the CEO on pricing and packaging decisions to align revenue strategy with product strategy
- Preparing board-ready reports on pipeline, forecasts, ARR growth, churn, and expansion performance
You Are:
- A player-coach: equally comfortable rolling up your sleeves to close deals and building repeatable processes for others
- Experienced across the full sales lifecycle, from hunting and closing new accounts to driving renewals and expansion
- Comfortable designing and refining sales playbooks, comp plans, and targets
- Familiar with both private and public sector sales: ideally direct government/defense procurement experience, but strong experience in regulated industries with willingness to learn defense is welcome
- Excited to grow outbound motions from scratch while optimizing inbound
- Comfortable reporting to a CEO and preparing for board-level visibility
- Open to a first-time CRO/Head of Revenue opportunity, with strong slope (potential) and a track record of growth
- Experienced in a remote-first environment and familiar with modern CRM tooling (HubSpot or similar)
