🚀 SOC 2 Audit Officially Kicks Off

This week marks a big milestone in Parabol’s journey toward stronger trust and security…we officially kicked off our SOC 2 Type II audit.

Over the past several months, we’ve been preparing for this moment: mapping every control, documenting every process, and tightening every corner of our infrastructure. From implementing access reviews and incident response drills to ensuring our vendors meet our same standards, it’s been a company wide effort.

Now, the real test begins.

Our external auditors will review how our systems, policies, and people operate over time. They will be verifying that we don’t just have good security practices on paper, but that we live them day to day.

It’s the culmination of months of collaboration across product, devops, and leadership, and another step toward earning and maintaining the trust of every org that runs their meetings on Parabol.

We’ll share more as we progress through the audit and, eventually, celebrate that shiny SOC 2 report. 🎉

Metrics

Both new sign-ups and monthly active users have been steadily on the rise. The weekly meeting trend is a good reflection of this activity. Recent announcements about Pages might have something to do with the recent uptick in web metrics.

This week we…

kicked off Product Shape Up Cycle 11. We’re focused on creating interactions between meeting activities and databases. We’re also investing more into security and sharing.

began our SOC 2 Type II audit. As shared in the highlight above.

had our monthly social activity. We had a good time connecting over several rounds of Quiplash 3. We gather the whole team once a month for games, or a lesson in crafts or cooking.

Next week we’ll…

wrap up our strategic planning for T3. We decouple and offset our strategic trimesters from the holidays and the quarter periods to smooth over transitions and seasonal rhythms. We’re looking forward to focusing on market opportunities in the private and regulated sectors as well as expanding our software’s capabilities.
