Back in January, we shared that Parabol was kicking off our journey toward SOC 2 compliance. Since then, we’ve been deep in the work—writing policies, confirming permissions, enabling audit trails, and proving that we walk the talk when it comes to protecting customer data.

It has been a lot of work, and we are not done yet, but it is nice to take a step back and acknowledge how much we have completed so far. We can see the finish line and we are on track to wrap up our SOC 2 Type II audit prep by the end of this summer.

A few highlights from the last few months:

✅ We adopted tools like Vanta to monitor systems continuously and flag potential issues before they escalate

✅ We rolled out a formal Access Control Policy and implemented least-privilege principles org-wide

✅ We’ve established a formalized Whistleblower Policy, and an anonymous communication channel is in place to report potential issues or fraud concerns.

But this isn’t just about checking boxes.

This work is about earning trust with current and future customers. That’s why we’ve launched a live Trust Center, where you can see our real-time status on key systems and download our security documentation.

If you’re a current or future Parabol customer, we hope this gives you even more confidence in the platform you’re using to run your most important meetings.

Thanks for being with us on the journey. We’ll keep you posted when the audit wraps 🎯

Metrics

Meetings stayed steady this week despite many of our users being out on Monday. Monthly active users dipped slightly back to the numbers we saw at the start of the month. We’ll keep an eye on this in June.

This week we…

…continued work on a music player in retrospective meetings. A long requested feature, we’re excited to roll this out.

…made progress on our new Pages feature.

…met with partners and users in Public and Private sectors, gathering valuable user feedback.

Next week we’ll

…enter into the final week of the shape up cycle. We’ll have a retro and our Product Lead will formulate “bets” for next cycle’s work. It’s going to be a good one!
