This week marked the midpoint for our six-week Shape Up cycle, and that meant demo day! It’s always fun to dive into the latest projects underway with our product team. Here are the highlights.
Demo Day Highlights
Two of the demos showcased significant enhancements to our scheduling feature, particularly focusing on recurring events:
- Streamlined editing of previously scheduled meetings directly within Parabol.
- Seamless template changes for recurring meeting.
Our team likes to mix up the themes for our regularly scheduled retros to keep things fun, so I’m looking forward to being able to do this without having to create a new meeting each time.
- We also have some inspiring work taking shape around sharing insights and trends from meetings over time, making these meetings even more valuable to teams and leadership.
Org Administration & Team Management
Last week saw the rollout of a pivotal feature: the ability to designate an organization admin. This role empowers users to oversee all teams within the organization, with the added capability to manage user access across individual teams. Having played with this feature firsthand this week, it makes managing users so much easier.
Metrics
Metrics were mostly flat over last week. We’re looking forward to seeing the impact of the projects highlighted in this week’s demo day to these trends in a few weeks.

Kendra leads operations at Parabol with over 15 years of experience building and managing teams in remote work environments. She came to Parabol from Techstars where she managed the first remote accelerator supporting startups focused on the future of work. Kendra lives and works in Northern California.
