#468 – Connecting Through Samosas

Friday Ship #468 | November 14th, 2025

Samosas Cooking Class Recipes

This week the team worked from their kitchens for a couple hours and joined a live cooking class with The Chef & The Dish. Chef Shoubham joined us directly from India to teach us how to make samosas from scratch…folding, filling, sealing…the whole deal.

I don’t think I’ll be leaving my day job to become a street-food vendor, but it was fun to make and learn more about this popular snack. Did you know that around 60 million samosas are sold on the streets of India every single day? That is wild.

Even though we were scattered across time zones, spending a little social time together always resets the team energy. Bonding over virtual samosas was a great break from our regular programming.

But it wasn’t just a culinary adventure this week. We also had a major milestone for the product team: Pages officially rolled out to IL2 and IL4 for P1 customers. I’ll leave the deeper dive to Jordan for next week, but it’s a big one.

Until then I’ll be spending the weekend trying to recreate Chef Shoubham’s magic in my own kitchen for the family. We’ll see if this second batch comes out better than the first.

Metrics

Our decline in new web users is concerning and will need to be addressed. The good news is that even with that decline, we are still seeing a nice uptick in new signups.

This week we…

…updated our investors on our Q3 progress.

…officially rolled out Pages to IL2 and IL4 for P1 customers.

…worked on the UI for sharing Pages.

Next week we’ll

…wrap up the final week of Cycle 11.
