#459 – Cycle 10 Demo Day

Friday Ship #459 | September 12th, 2025

Person Writing on Paper

This week our product team held their mid-cycle demo day. As someone outside of the product team, this is always a favorite meeting to join and see ideas come to life. It was a great mix of fully baked new features getting ready to launch and some napkin sketch drawings sparked from our innovation brainstorm.

Here’s a peek at what was demoed:

Polishing Up Pages for Launch

Georg and Matt walked us through updates to the new Pages feature, which will be released to all users next week.

  • Page Sharing: You can now quickly share a page by sending it directly to someone’s email.
  • “Add Insights” Button: A small UX enhancement that makes AI-powered insights easier to find and use. No more slash command required…but don’t worry it’s still in the slash commands.

From Napkin Sketches to Modular Workflows

Terry and Jordan demoed the evolving vision for modular activities inside Pages, a concept sparked by our recent innovation advisory brainstorm and now rapidly coming to life.

Instead of launching a full retro or poker meeting from a template, you start with a Page, then progressively layer in micro-activities like:

  • Importing Zendesk tickets or other datasets
  • Auto-generating themes
  • Ranking items (instead of voting)
  • Kicking off discussions
  • Proposing or revising policies

The idea: let users compose workflows on the fly using small, purpose-built activities. Pages become the flexible backbone that ties it all together.

Our customers love how seamless and intuitive it is to run a retro on Parabol. We’re working to bring that same sense of ease to workflows of all kinds

Lots of exciting pieces coming together. I can’t wait to see how these ideas evolve over the rest of the cycle.

Metrics

It looks like we are heading into fall with an uptick of activity that is typical for this time of year. It is nice to see an increase in new signups these last two weeks and a healthy jump in weekly meetings.

This week we…

…held our Q2 Board Meeting.

…found the final bug that needs squashing before we release Pages to all users!

Next week we’ll

…look to wrap up the final pieces in prep for our SOC2 audit.

…release Pages to all Parabol users.
